Life situations often revolve around circumstances. Nothing happens until a circumstance warrants it. You are who, where, and how you are today based on one circumstance or the other. For instance, you don't see stars shining in the afternoon, nor have you seen the moon shining in the day. The circumstances that surround this period do not permit the stars and the moon to shine when the sun is fully active. Sometimes it works in your favor, and many times it works against you. No matter who you are, the circumstances of life are either there to stop you or to help you. But, I pray for you today, every circumstance that comes your way shall help you a step further in the name of Jesus. What is the meaning of circumstance ? 1. He Is Merciful

 

Among many outstanding attributes of God is mercy.

God is love, faithful, sovereign, gracious, holy e.t.c.but God is also merciful.
Even when He is passing judgement, He has the capacity to demonstrate so much mercy for He has it in abundance. Ephesians 2:4 says, "But God who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us".
God is rich in mercy, hence when something is possessed in abundance, it is not difficult to give some out.

What Is Mercy

Mercy ensures you are not paid in your own coin.
It ensures you do not get what you deserve for a wrong deed.
For instance, after a criminal have been apprehended, tried in the court of law and found guilty, setting such a criminal free is an act of mercy.

The Need For The Mercy Of God

As a New Testament believer, it is true we are in the era of grace where God's unusual mercy is available to all. But, this must not be taken for granted for it is not a license to continue in sin but an opportunity to amend our ways and repent.

However, the cry for mercy of God can never become irrelevant in our day to day activities as human being. There is a need for us to engage the mercy of God in our prayer life. Considering our shortcomings, times of disobedience and unfaithfulness, we will know that we do not qualify for any answer except by His mercy.

If there is a method we need mostly to engage in our prayer life, it is the prayer of mercy.

I have searched through the scripture, prayer of mercy have never failed. Matthew 9:27-30

Dear friends, we have tried to do it the other way round many a time without answer for the bible in James 4:3 affirms that not everyone who asks from God receives answer.
God is sovereign, therefore He decides whether to grant the request or not.

Matthew 6:7-8 gives us the understanding that answers are not based on how much we prayed or even how well. Moreover, Romans 8:26-27 says we need the help of the Holy Spirit in order to pray effectively and effectually since we do not know how to pray as we should.
Therefore, every time God gives you an answer of joy regarding your prayer requests, know that you have just benefited from His mercy. Besides, all our prayer can be summed up in one simple sentence asking for God's mercy.

The only way through which your prayer of mercy could be answered by God is to pray in the name of Jesus.
