HOW MANY LOAVES HAVE YE?

In the middle of hopelessness and a state of dilemma, Jesus asked a very intriguing question, "How many loaves have ye?"          It is very unlikely to fathom with the hope that any solution could be offered when found in the situation as recorded in Mark 8:1-10. There was hunger, weakness, despair, hopelessness, scarcity and death in view.  The disciples' response was indeed nothing different from mine or yours except we are schooled and able to comprehend what Jesus did to arrest the situation. To have a smooth sail and end well as a Christian on earth, it is important to understand the know-how and steps required to tackle many issues that bedevil us.  As far as the present world is concerned, problems abound. Ranging from health, finance, marriage, family, business, spiritual, and otherwise, every man is encumbered daily with pockets of troubles.  However, these problems are not designed to mar us, rather, they help in shaping our lives for the greater gl

NO DISCRIMINATION

Jesus is well noted for his incomparable love and humility and there is no one that has been so generous like Him. He was at the table eating in the house according to Matthew 9:10-13, many people including publicans, sinners and His disciples came and sat down with Him.

Well, many Pharisees saw His level of generosity, He was not a selecting type, neither would He despise anyone; He generously mingled and associated with everyone especially they that came to Him. The Pharisees were so much irritated and disgusted with Jesus and they could not even hide their hatred, pride, self-righteousness and ignorance of the word of God. They had to ask His disciples, “Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?” But, Jesus heard them saying this, and He told them, “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick”.

Are you reading these right now, but you are sick, broke and afflicted by some unknown forces of darkness? You are the reason why the gospel of Jesus Christ is here today.
Jesus said He has not come because of they that are whole; rather He came because of they that are in one need or the other. May your need be given attention in the name of Jesus.

It takes a learning and humble heart to gain knowledge. The word of God is not just ordinary letters, Jesus said the word that i speak to you, they are spirit and they are life. Jesus finally asked the Pharisees to be humble, sober and decide to learn what the Lord means by saying I will have mercy, and not sacrifice. Surely, if Jesus was to be like men, hardly few of us would be qualified to see Him in our life time. If you disagree with me, how many of you have seen the state governor of your state before? And, if you have seen him, how many of you have been able to be in the same room chatting with him since he came to office? And, how many of you have being on the same table eating with him? I bet not many of you have had this opportunity.
However, Jesus cannot be compared with even the president of any nation, yet He was found eaten among the publicans, the sinners, the downtrodden, the rejected, the have-nots and the poor in the society. What an understanding Jesus? It is good to know that it is not by the level of sacrifice in terms of righteousness or good works but by the mercies of God.

Why do you look at others as if you are holier?
Why do you relate with others as if you are saved by your work of righteousness?
Why did you allow religion fanaticism to blind your eyes?
If Jesus were to be like you, do you think you will be a Christian today?
It is so unfortunate, many Christians are even worse than the presumed unbelievers especially when it has to do with love and humility.

As a Christian, Jesus admonished in Mark 12:31, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these”
Love here means to share, give and do to others; whatever you would want them to do to you. Neighbour also means whoever is standing next to you irrespective of time and place.

As an assumed unbeliever, rejected, downtrodden and a sinner; embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ today. For you He has come, for you He died and for you He has made available everything it takes to realize your God-given purpose on earth. You are not a mistake, but a divine project whose mandate can only be realized when finally in tune with his Maker.
