HOW MANY LOAVES HAVE YE?

In the middle of hopelessness and a state of dilemma, Jesus asked a very intriguing question, "How many loaves have ye?"          It is very unlikely to fathom with the hope that any solution could be offered when found in the situation as recorded in Mark 8:1-10. There was hunger, weakness, despair, hopelessness, scarcity and death in view.  The disciples' response was indeed nothing different from mine or yours except we are schooled and able to comprehend what Jesus did to arrest the situation. To have a smooth sail and end well as a Christian on earth, it is important to understand the know-how and steps required to tackle many issues that bedevil us.  As far as the present world is concerned, problems abound. Ranging from health, finance, marriage, family, business, spiritual, and otherwise, every man is encumbered daily with pockets of troubles.  However, these problems are not designed to mar us, rather, they help in shaping our lives for the greater gl

Don't Give Up

Many people ignorantly sleep and submit to the antics of the devil when encumbered with stagnating and limiting force of the adversary. The situation indeed may seem helpless but the truth is until you take your stand against it, it persists and there is no sudden disappearance of that situation in your life until you have taken the necessary steps required. However, if you want to overcome and break out of the captivity of the enemy, you must not give up and sleep in that situation rather; you must learn to always take your  stand in prayer.
It was seen in the book of Acts 12:1-11; Peter was found sleeping while in captivity. There is no doubt; James did the same thing while he was being held captive in that prison and this facilitated the quick order of his death. Peter also would have been killed just like James but for the intercession prayer of the church that was raised for him.

But why would Peter be found sleeping in this situation? There is a clear indication that he has submitted to fate, he has told himself that was his destiny, he has said that was how it was written concerning him, He has agreed  that what will be will surely be. Perhaps, he has even said like many of us that this was the will of God for his life. But, can this really be true?

Let's assume he was right, but i want you to know that it is not over until it is over. As a genuine child of God, you can always talk to God about the horrible situation in your life; even if it is His will for you to go through that situation, who knows, maybe He can still change His mind and help you out of the quagmire.  Remember, King Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20:1-6, he was told by prophet Isaiah that God said it was time for him to die. The king felt bad about it but he understood that it was not over until it is over and he turned his face to God in prayer. And, you know what; God had to change His mind and added fifteen more years to his life.

Dear brothers and sisters, please, don't be in a hurry to conclude that a bad situation is the will of God for your life. Stand to pray about it!

In Acts 16:22-28, Paul and Silas were once also found in captivity, but unlike Peter and James, the bible says they prayed and sang praises unto God. They chose not to sleep physically or spiritually because they knew it is not over until it is over. Even when the situation seems helpless, they knew that God is still able to help them. They refused to resolve to fate, they refused to agree this is the will of God for their lives, they understood that what will be will surely be but God is not in the business of making bad things to happen to His children especially when they can indeed humble themselves and pray like He had said in His word (2 Chronicles 7:14). They refused to believe that was how it was written concerning them because they knew that glorious things are spoken of them in the volume of the book. Psalm 87:3, "Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God".

Are you in anyway seeking a way out of a humiliating and terrorizing situation in your life? Do not sleep in that condition, but stand to pray!
Perhaps you are sick and you want your health fully restored, don't sleep brother; you can still pray about it!
Are you facing a grave financial hardship? You can also pray about it!
Or, are you being tormented of the devil, perhaps in your dream or in the physical? One option is still left to you brother, get up and pray about it!

Sleep is not an option when faced with challenges as Christians; you can only find your way out of any captivity when you chose not to close your mouth in prayer.
