HOW MANY LOAVES HAVE YE?

In the middle of hopelessness and a state of dilemma, Jesus asked a very intriguing question, "How many loaves have ye?"          It is very unlikely to fathom with the hope that any solution could be offered when found in the situation as recorded in Mark 8:1-10. There was hunger, weakness, despair, hopelessness, scarcity and death in view.  The disciples' response was indeed nothing different from mine or yours except we are schooled and able to comprehend what Jesus did to arrest the situation. To have a smooth sail and end well as a Christian on earth, it is important to understand the know-how and steps required to tackle many issues that bedevil us.  As far as the present world is concerned, problems abound. Ranging from health, finance, marriage, family, business, spiritual, and otherwise, every man is encumbered daily with pockets of troubles.  However, these problems are not designed to mar us, rather, they help in shaping our lives for the greater gl

Introduction
Life is not a bed of roses, I have heard it times and times again.
For every stage in life, there is at least a battle or war to conquer.
Your progress is not certain until the present mountain is surmounted. In the name that is above every other name, I command every mountain before you this morning to disappear in the name of Jesus.

Marriage, finance, Family, career, healthy living, and safety assurance in this wicked world are some of the present days' concerns. How do we escape this many atrocities found around us today? I have just one answer for you, get Jesus involved. Finish!

John 2:1-11, this is the account of a marriage at Cana of Galilee where the bridegroom was encountered with a battle of life, shame. But for the involvement of Jesus in that ceremony, the threatening of shame was eradicated. Every threatening of shame before you today shall be eradicated in the name of Jesus.

There are important lessons to learn from this account and we are going to look at just a few of them;

1. Jesus was invited:
John 2:1-2, "And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage".
Whether intentionally or by chance, Jesus was invited. Whether by the groom or the bride or a relative to either of them, Jesus was invited. This is the reason why you should be associated with the right people at all times.

Please don't take the word "right people" for wealthy people, educated people, people in government, people in the corridor of power, or the self-acclaimed wise people. When I say the right people, I mean the people of God's kingdom, the church, the body of Christ.

We were not told in this story how connected the bridegroom was to Jesus so as to know whether he was the one that invited Him, but one thing is certain, somebody that knows Jesus invited Him and He honored the invitation hence His presence and the miracle He performed in that ceremony.

Looking at this account critically nothing is showing us that Jesus actually had any relationship with the bridegroom, it is obvious Jesus was invited by a relative of the bridegroom. Even at that, He could not turn them down when the need for assistance arises. How much more when you are directly connected to Him and you don't need anyone to speak on your behalf when the need for His assistance arises?

Firstly, it is a personal thing, have you given Jesus access into your life by making Him your Lord and savior?
Have you invited Jesus into your home?
Have you invited Jesus into your business, job, and your career?

As many that honor Him, He said He will Honor, and as many that despise Him, He said He will lightly esteem. 1 Samuel 2:30.
Psalm 51:17, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise".
Like the attitude of many are, I want you to understand that Jesus is not like men that select which invitation to honor when invited to a function. As long as you have invited Him, be sure He will be in that function.

The bible told us He is not a respecter of person, once you have a broken spirit, broken heart, and a contrite heart, the Bible told us, He will never despise you.

As you invite Him into your situation today, may He honor the invitation and give you rest in Jesus name.

2. Even the bridegroom does not need to come and tell Him his problem, all it takes is somebody well connected telling Jesus about the matter:
John 2:3, "And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine".
Still talking about an association with the right people, Jesus wouldn't have known either done anything about the bridegroom predicament but for the intervention of Mary the mother of Jesus Christ.

"Your association in life determines to a large extent your liberation from the captivity of Satan"

Many people have been saved from various problems today, not because of their personal efforts in prayer but because some people somewhere stood in the gap for them during their trying time. I pray for anyone passing through a hard time today, the Lord will visit you.

Acts 12:1-19, the bible told us about Peter's prison experience. For Peter, he has concluded whatever would be would be just like many of us have concluded today. However, for many of his close associates, I mean the church, it was believed that God is able to rescue him if prayer was raised for him. This they all agreed to do even without Peter's conscience and he was rescued in a miraculous circumstance.

Do you have friends that do this for you especially when you are in trouble?
How often do you also do this for your friends especially when they are in trouble?

It is high time you checked the kind of people you keep as your close associate. Please don't allow business or relationship sentiment to chase away the right people from your life. You need godly brethren who can stand in the gap for you when the storm that can not be surmounted by natural force arises in your way.

Get God-fearing brethren as your close associate today.
Immagine there was nobody that could talk to Jesus in that occasion, of course, the bridegroom would have faced the consequence.

May help locate you from above on your days of trial in the name of Jesus.

3. As long as Jesus is involved, shame would be taken care of:
Shame is nothing but a psychological punishment enforced on a man when he is found in an unbefitting circumstance. Shame is a killer and a reducer that takes away your pride and dignity as a man. May you never be put to shame in Jesus' name.

4. When Jesus is present, your supply is not limited to this earth, it comes directly from heaven where you belong.
John 2:7-10"Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now".

Conclusions
Jesus involvement in our lives situation is a sure way of finding a solution to our problems. Endeavor to get Him involved today.

Prayer points:
1. Father, I invite you into my life situations this morning, please Lord turn my story to glory.
2. Father, this morning, I pray for everyone being confronted with one challenge or the other, please Lord let there be a solution.
3. Father, because You are already invited into this situation, please let every threatening of shame over my life be eradicated in the name of Jesus.
