John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me"
All over the world today, it is very rear to see a man that has no problem. People are faced today with so many problems which are not limited to poverty, sickness, untimely death, war, demonic attack, marital issues, childlessness, inordinate addiction, terrorism, anxiety, deadly diseases and so on.
But, there are good problems and there are bad ones. How do I mean? If you are a child of God and you have surrendered your life to Jesus, your problem is a good one because the problem only exists that God might be glorified and I want you to know your problems will soon become a testimony. There is a story of a blind man in John 9:3, the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him, who did sin that made the man to be born blind, is it the mother or the father? "Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him".
Lazarus is another example, earlier before he died when Jesus was informed about his sickness, He clearly stated the sickness is not, but for the glory of God. John 11:4, "When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby".
But, if you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, I'm afraid, your problem is a bad one because there is no hope for such an individual. The problem can not but multiply as long as you have chosen to remain with the devil. John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly".
Irrespective of what the problem may look like, whether good or bad, the good news today is that Jesus is still the answer.
The key points to understand include;
- Every problem has its root in darkness:
Genesis 1:2, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep".
- But, light is the solution to all types of darkness:
Genesis 1:3, "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light".
Ecclesiastes 2:13, "Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness".
- Light can be interpreted as the knowledge and wisdom of God:
Psalms 43:3, "O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill and to thy tabernacle".
Proverbs 6:23, "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life":
- This knowledge and wisdom of God are only received by the word of God:
Psalms 119:105, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path".
Psalms 119:130, "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple".
- However, to understand the word of God, you must accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour:
John 3:1-21, Nicodemus was a man well recognised in the church but never had a true encounter with God. All that Jesus was saying couldn't make any meaning to him. Being a sincere man and would not take a chance to lose the kingdom of God, he secretly and quietly came to Jesus at night and was asking Him the most crucial question that needed to be asked by anyone that has not really understood the gospel of Jesus Christ. John 3:5-6, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit".
1 Corinthians 2:14, "But the natural man receiveth, not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned".
John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life".
- Now, if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, then, you have the word of God dwelling inside of you already, because Jesus is the word of God.
John 1:1, 14, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth".
The in-dwelling word of God, therefore, makes it possible for you to hear and understand when God speaks to your spirit on a daily basis which in turn exposes you to the knowledge and wisdom of God that is required to walk not in darkness but in the light of God.
Finally, I want to appeal to you dear reader, if there is any doubt in your heart regarding your salvation or you are not so sure, then it is very crucial to settle it now because tomorrow may be too late. Let us learn from the story of Nicodemus.
You could have believed in Jesus but yet to confess Him as your Lord and Saviour, that could be very dangerous, you have to settle it now, tomorrow may be too late.
John 12:42, "Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue"
Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation".
Mark 16:16, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned"
Why is it compulsory to settle the doubt concerning your salvation?
1. To fulfil all righteousness
2. It is a needful exercise
3. When you do this, you clear every doubt that may hinder your faith which is required to receive the promise.
Galatians 3:11, "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith".
In conclusion, there is no solution elsewhere, Jesus is the answer to all problems.
Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other names under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved".
This is a wonderful message, thanks for sharing.
