HOW MANY LOAVES HAVE YE?

In the middle of hopelessness and a state of dilemma, Jesus asked a very intriguing question, "How many loaves have ye?"          It is very unlikely to fathom with the hope that any solution could be offered when found in the situation as recorded in Mark 8:1-10. There was hunger, weakness, despair, hopelessness, scarcity and death in view.  The disciples' response was indeed nothing different from mine or yours except we are schooled and able to comprehend what Jesus did to arrest the situation. To have a smooth sail and end well as a Christian on earth, it is important to understand the know-how and steps required to tackle many issues that bedevil us.  As far as the present world is concerned, problems abound. Ranging from health, finance, marriage, family, business, spiritual, and otherwise, every man is encumbered daily with pockets of troubles.  However, these problems are not designed to mar us, rather, they help in shaping our lives for the greater gl

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST TO YOU?

It is quite disappointing to know that people attend church services today for some kind of frivolous reasons. Many people attend service on Sundays so as to make business contacts, while others go for relationships. There are groups of individual that even visit church to get the latest fashion styles and for many other degrading reasons that can not be mentioned. How sad!
Maybe I should ask you too; why do you attend church services today? Do you attend because you are a Christian or you did for some other reasons best known to you?
Notwithstanding your response in anyway, I think the question is, who actually is Jesus Christ to you?

In the bible days, Jesus Christ was actually seen differently by several individuals;
People of His own country actually saw Him just as a son of Joseph the Carpenter, a brother of James, Joses, Simon and Judas. All efforts to reveal His true identity to them proved abortive because He actually grew up under their watch. Matthew 13:54-58. But, Jesus is more than just the son of Joseph the Carpenter, He is the Son of the living God.

Another group of individual could only recognise Him as another John the Baptist, or the likes of Elijah, or the likes of Jeremiah, or other prophet. It was so difficult for them to see His true identity.
Matthew 16:13-14, "When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets".
But, how wrong they were? Jesus is more than any prophet that has ever existed.
John 3:34, "For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him". God gives His Spirit to Jesus without measure.
Colossians 2:9, "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily". God actually emptied Himself in Christ Jesus.

To many others, because of His popularity and fame, Jesus is just a popular name like every other name. But, how wrong they are? There are many people answering that name today that knows nothing about Christianity. But, Jesus Christ is more than just a name, there is a divine personality behind His name. The seven sons of one Sceva only knew that each time Apostle Paul called the name of Jesus, miracles were always evidenced. They never understood there is a personality behind that name which made possible all that has been happening from time past. They thought the name is there to call by anybody in order to cast out devils. So, they call this name on certain people who had evil spirits, and the outcome was humorous. Acts 19:13-17

Brethren, there is no doubt, the name of Jesus is the most popular name on earth today. Philippians 2:9, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name". But, beyond His name, who is Jesus Christ to you?

Peter was the first to declear the true identity of Jesus Christ according to revelation.  Matthew 16:16, "And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God". However, Jesus said flesh and blood have not revealed this to Peter, the Spiritof God actually did. Matthew 16:17, "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven".
This implies that once Jesus is believed in your heart and received as your Lord and Saviour, you ceased to be an ordinary person. You become a partaker of God nature.

Matthew 16:18, "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". Peter experienced an instant change of name from Simon (Mr. Unstable) to Peter (The Rock). So also, if you believe and receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, God will give you a new name that will suit His purpose for your life. Perhaps you are known today for some evil identity, and men have already given you name according to that character, It doesn't matter. He will change your name and all your past will be totally forgotten.

Matthew 16:19, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven". You are granted everlasting access into the presence of God to execute judgement here on earth. You have the power to lose and bind every demonic oppression over your life and many other people.
Mark 16:15-18, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover".

In summary, Jesus Christ is not another John the Baptist. He is more than just a son of Joseph the carpenter and Mary, the brother of James, Joses and Juda. Jesus Christ is more than just a popular name.
Jesus Christ is the saviour of the world.

In conclusion, except Jesus is your Lord and Saviour, you are living a hopeless life.
