HOW MANY LOAVES HAVE YE?

In the middle of hopelessness and a state of dilemma, Jesus asked a very intriguing question, "How many loaves have ye?"          It is very unlikely to fathom with the hope that any solution could be offered when found in the situation as recorded in Mark 8:1-10. There was hunger, weakness, despair, hopelessness, scarcity and death in view.  The disciples' response was indeed nothing different from mine or yours except we are schooled and able to comprehend what Jesus did to arrest the situation. To have a smooth sail and end well as a Christian on earth, it is important to understand the know-how and steps required to tackle many issues that bedevil us.  As far as the present world is concerned, problems abound. Ranging from health, finance, marriage, family, business, spiritual, and otherwise, every man is encumbered daily with pockets of troubles.  However, these problems are not designed to mar us, rather, they help in shaping our lives for the greater gl

YOU CAN BE FREE INDEED

As a child of God, it is important for us to know that freedom is a choice. Therefore, you can be free if you choose to. Deuteronomy 30:19, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live".
This is a clear indication that we can actually choose the type of life we want to live.

But, how do we make our choices?
Deuteronomy 11:26-28, "Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known".
From the above scripture, it is obvious, choices are made by our response to the commandments of God. Obedience produces blessing, while disobedience produces curse.
Freedom is categorized as a blessing from God, bondage is the opposite of freedom and it is categorized as a curse. You can actually choose to be free or remain in bondage, it is a choice you make deliberately by your response to the word of God.

Would you rather be made free, or remain in bondage?
John 8:34-36, "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35, And the servant abideth not in the house forever: but the Son abideth ever. 36, If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed"
Are you reading this message and living under certain bondage like sickness, poverty, failure, barrenness, an affliction of any type, and so on. The good news is you can be made free if you choose to. In the name that is above every other name, I declare your freedom today in the name of Jesus.

According to John 8:34-36, in order to be set free, the following steps will be very necessary;
  1. It is not enough to be a member of a church, you must be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. John 8:31, "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
    33  They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
    Membership in a Christian denomination is good, but being a member of the body of Christ is better. Do not just believe in the power of God by attending church services as a member, decide to be a worker in the vineyard of God.
  2. As long as you are living in sin, you are a servant of sin and do not have any right to the commonwealth of heaven. Therefore, choose not to be a servant of sin. John 8:34-35, "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35, And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever". There are two types of people in the church; the servants and the sons. When sin describes you as a member of the church, you are a servant of sin. But, the sons are defined by their righteousness which is of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Servants will in no wise stay in the house for the house is meant for the sons.
  3. Accept the finished work of salvation by giving your life to Jesus Christ the Son of God who is able to make you free indeed. John 8:36-38, "If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 37, I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me because my word hath no place in you. 38, I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father". Every instruction so far from this scripture pointed to this last point. Jesus is the only one that can make you be free indeed. The power of Jesus delivers to the uttermost. Accept the Lordship of Jesus into your life.
