ABOVE ALL CIRCUMSTANCES
Life situations often revolve around
circumstances. Nothing happens until a circumstance warrants it. You are who,
where, and how you are today based on one circumstance or the other. For
instance, you don't see stars shining in the afternoon, nor have you seen the moon shining in the day. The circumstances that surround this period do not
permit the stars and the moon to shine when the sun is fully active.
Sometimes it works in your favor, and many times it
works against you. No matter who you are, the circumstances of life are either
there to stop you or to help you. But, I pray for you today, every circumstance
that comes your way shall help you a step further in the name of Jesus.
What is the meaning of circumstance?
1. Circumstance is the reason why something was
possible or not.
2. Circumstance explains how a certain matter unfolds
3. Circumstance gives the total account of the
situation
4. Circumstance is an event or situation that you
cannot control - divine programming of God written to bring to pass His will on
earth.
No one is exempt from the grip of circumstances,
even the birth of Jesus Christ was not without some circumstances. Matthew 1:18-23
There are some conditions, uncontrollable events, and
specific details about the birth of Jesus Christ, but all as in both good and
unfair circumstances, were designed to manifest the glory of the Father.
What are the circumstances that surround your life
today as a person?
What kind of treatment have you received so far by the
reason of the circumstances that surround your life? Has it ever worked in your favor?
You might have had a variety of experiences vis-à-vis
different circumstances of life. Notwithstanding, if God be for you, no
circumstance can be against you. Therefore, every circumstance of life will
have no option but to manifest the supernatural blessing of the Father that
will catapult you to your divine destination in the name of Jesus.
What are the circumstances that surround the birth of
Jesus Christ?
This is experienced when an expectation cannot be realized.
Joseph was in great preparation to take Mary as his wife until he found out
that she was pregnant. There is no doubt, Joseph was greatly disappointed. On
the other hand, Mary, as a lady well known to be a virgin, must have found
it very difficult to explain her ordeal before her to-be-husband. There is no doubt;
Mary was engulfed with shame and disgrace.
Joseph was to suffer disappointment, while
Mary was to suffer shame and disgrace. However, God turned it around for their
good. Disappointment was turned to divine appointment when Joseph became the
earthly father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Disgrace became divine grace when an ordinary
mortal, I mean Mary, carried the Immortal and our Lord Jesus Christ in her belly
as a baby. Shame became glory when we mention the name of Jesus today and
remember the glory that surrounds His birth through the Virgin Mary.
Disappointment is a mocker and a dream killer. Of a
truth, Mary was not guilty of the circumstance she found herself in, nor was
Joseph. But, God designs every circumstance of life man could find himself to
suit His own purpose.
Disappointment is a life-threatening circumstance. You may be an expert at disappointing people. Be warned today, for God is displeased with everyone who is given to deceit.
Isaiah 59:15, "Yea, truth faileth; and he that
departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it
displeased him that there was no judgment".
Are you
suffering from disappointment of any kind, or are you currently facing an
embarrassing situation, is your life under threat due to an embarrassing
circumstance, or a disappointing situation of which you are not guilty? The Lord
will not fold His arms concerning your case in Jesus' name.
This is a sudden and supernatural involvement of God
in order to have control over all situations of life. Divine intervention of God is required to overcome
many unfavorable circumstances of life that confront us today.
Joseph had concluded, Mary was promiscuous, but the
Lord appeared to him in a dream and revealed the truth about the matter
at hand.
How many times has God spoken to us in a dream but
without understanding? How many times has God revealed the truth to us, but we
still hold in high esteem that which was generally accepted? If Mary were to be
one of today's virgins and were later found to be pregnant without a proper
marriage ceremony, I wonder how many brothers would still like to take her as
wife even after the encounter with the Lord in the dream.
Disappointment, shame, and disgrace will be eliminated
when we can hear clearly and take instructions from God. After God
spoke to Joseph, his heart was illuminated to know that Mary was not what he had taught her to be, but God was using the circumstance to carry out His divine mandate.
Many ladies are tagged whore today, but they are not; they are only victims of circumstances that are beyond their control.
Many people are poor, sick, and wretched today, not because of their sin as many may erroneously believe, but all that the work of God might be made manifest in their lives. A young man in John 9:2 was reportedly blind from birth. The family has been tagged in the community as sinners. However, the disciples of Jesus Christ came and asked Him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered and told them, "Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him".
Many are languishing in prison today, but
they are innocent of the crime they are convicted. James suffered this
circumstance and died in it. Peter also suffered the same circumstance and did
not die because the church cried for God's divine intervention.
It does not matter any circumstance of life you may find yourself, even if it is as a result of the activity of the enemy, please understand that God is aware of it and He will use the situation to bring to pass His purpose in your life. Joseph's brother did all they could to stop him, but the more they pushed, the nearer they drew him closer to the fulfillment of God's purpose in His life. The enemy cannot stop you; they can only help to bring you closer to the fulfillment of God's purpose in your life as long as you stick to Jesus.
And finally, there are some circumstances where expectations are not met as expected. Jesus' expectation to see fruit on the fig tree in
Mark 11:13 was very high. He was gravely disappointed when he finally came to
the tree and could not find any fruit thereof. He thereafter cursed the tree
never to bear fruit again, and the tree withered right away. This is an indication to prove that the fact that a tree is big and has so many green leaves does not mean it has fruit on it. There are some big trees standing as obstacles in your life today; many a time, they stand as a source through which you could get help, but they have failed you not once nor twice. They only occupy space and deny you further opportunity to be blessed by another source. This is a big problem in the lives of many individuals today. Without mincing words, the solution to this challenge remains divine intervention by God. Cry to God in prayer, and He will deliver you from every demonic obstacle.
In conclusion, do not ever judge a man based on face value; God is
the only One who knows the reason for every circumstance of life. However, disappointment, shame, and disgrace can only be eliminated by the divine intervention of
God. Halleluiah!
