HOW MANY LOAVES HAVE YE?

In the middle of hopelessness and a state of dilemma, Jesus asked a very intriguing question, "How many loaves have ye?"          It is very unlikely to fathom with the hope that any solution could be offered when found in the situation as recorded in Mark 8:1-10. There was hunger, weakness, despair, hopelessness, scarcity and death in view.  The disciples' response was indeed nothing different from mine or yours except we are schooled and able to comprehend what Jesus did to arrest the situation. To have a smooth sail and end well as a Christian on earth, it is important to understand the know-how and steps required to tackle many issues that bedevil us.  As far as the present world is concerned, problems abound. Ranging from health, finance, marriage, family, business, spiritual, and otherwise, every man is encumbered daily with pockets of troubles.  However, these problems are not designed to mar us, rather, they help in shaping our lives for the greater gl

A New Thing

Isaiah 43:19, "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert"

WHAT IS A NEW THING?
A new thing connotes something that has not been experienced before, while the old thing is a situation that has been experienced in the past.
However, for a new thing to emerge, there is an old thing already in existence.
For example, if you are to experience healing, definitely there is an illness. If you are to become rich, this means you have been poor. If you are to be delivered, definitely you are in bondage. If you desire to have a breakthrough, this means you have been struggling. May all your struggles come to an end today in the name of Jesus. May every poverty give way to riches today in the name of Jesus. May you be delivered from all forms of satanic bondage. And, for all illnesses, receive your healing today in the nmighty name of Jesus.

CATEGORIES OF OLD THINGS
Old things can be categorized into three phases;

1. Unpleasant situations of life which have defiled every available option.
Luke 8:43,  "And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any"
John 9:1-9, (A man blind from birth, whose Jesus disciple asked who did sin that made the guy blind)
Act 3:2-10, (A lame man at the gate of a temple called Beautiful)

2. Assumed good situations of life without the knowledge of God.
John 4:6-26, (A Samaritan woman that met Jesus by the well who has being with five husbands yet thinking she was leading a good life)
Act 9:1-18, (Paul the Apostle thought he was living a good life persecuting the followers of Jesus Christ until he came in contact with Jesus Christ).
Many people are leading a life considered to be good when we judge from a human perspective. But, there is nothing good about a life wasting away without Jesus on earth. It does not matter how much you have in your bank account, how many degree or chieftaincy title you have acquired, if you have no Jesus, you are leading a terrible life. This may be considered a good life when judging with our intellect but I pray for you today, the Lord shall open your spiritual eye and He will do a new thing in your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

3. The real good situations of life but not according to God's plan.
Genesis 39:1-4, "And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.
And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man, and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand".
Joseph was actually doing well as a slave in Portiphar's house. But, that was not where God was taking him to.
Genesis 16:1-4, (Abraham was actually living the real good life because his steps are being ordered by God. But, when it was time to have children, Abraham could not get it right until God did a new thing in his life).

WHO WILL EXPERIENCE A NEW THING?
1. HE THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS
For you to experience a new thing at all, the old thing must pass away.
2 Corinthians 5:17, "If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things become new".

2. HE THAT HAS A NEW HEART
Matthew 9:17, "Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved"
Please note, new wine can not be poured in an old bottle, this means for you to enjoy the new thing that God is about to do, the requirement is a new you.

3. HE THAT IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SERVICE OF GOD
Obededion never thought of accommodating the Ark of God in his house until David asked him to do so. It was a great turn around for him when his situation was turned around overnight. 2 Samuel 6:10-12

4. HE THAT WILL DEVELOP A NEW LEVEL OF COMMITMENT TO GOD
James 4:8, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded"
A new level of commitment in terms of fellowship, service, prayer, studying the word, good deeds, bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit, love and righteousness.
Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you"

In conclusion, God is ready to do a new thing and turn your situations around for good. But, He requires more commitment on your side as His children this year. And, if you are yet to give your life to Christ, the first step to take is that you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and your saviour.

This year, I see many wonderful testimonies coming from you in the name of Jesus.
